Gorgeous rare antique Georgian ring. These so rarely survive due to the often delicate manner of construction. This one has historic repairs (Lead?)where it has been reattached to the band, and a rose gold plate added to the inside to add strength. Price is reduced to reflect condition, but this is still a wearable piece. Band is slightly out of round and size is approx a NZ L or US5&3/4s. Hand made and ornately hand carved down the shank to add extra details to a simple ring. Adorned with 5 genuine garnets  four surrounding are flat cut and the center piece is almost rose cut (but having only four sides like a point) and four small seed pearls. Stones are approx 2.83mms (center garnet) and approx 2.93mms for the surrounding four. Seed pearls each measure approx 1.5mms in size. Tests as at least 9ct gold, colour of band matches my modern 18ct gold band and the setting part is slightly lighter like modern 9ct yellow gold.
